SkyRise

SkyRise Theater, a family owned company, continues to bring the performing arts to thousands of children all over the MetroWest area for 9 years now! We have more than 21 years of experience in theatrical education, and personal performance. We love working with children of all ages, and we encourage the growth in ones ability to perform onstage and be comfortable off stage! With our passion for working with children and helping them develop their talents and attributes, we are your children's theater of choice for a wide range of unique acting services. We are dedicated to presenting fun and creative ways for children to express themselves. Through productions, theater camps, private lessons, and theatrical parties, children are motivated to be involved in all aspects of the performing arts.

Meet the SkyRise Team!!!

Zac Taylor

Owner/Technical Director

Zac completed his two undergraduate degrees in Dramatic Arts and Business Marketing at the University of Montana and Georgia South Western. After college he spent two years working for Missoula Children's Theater as a Tour Actor Director. As the artistic and technical Director at SkyRise his training in creative movement, and art design, inspire his creations. Zac is a master carpenter along with many credits in arts such as circus, mime, gymnastics, and many types of dance. While expanding his talents and knowledge for dramatic interpretation  in college, he spent the other time coaching gymnastics and appearing in on-screen productions and print modeling ads. Zac is excited to bring the arts to the MetroWest area. The families of the area have embraced SkyRise and he is proud to call it home.

Tania Taylor

Owner/Director/Producer

Tania’s journey began here in Southborough, MA. She says, "It only felt right to bring my passion for educating children through theater back home.”  With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Musical Theater Performance and Directing from Plymouth State University, she has developed her knowledge in performance theater direction and production management. As an accomplished vocal performer, Tania inspires all of her vocal students to love and respect the performing arts. She has performed in and directed 2 tours for Missoula Children's Theater. As the Managing Director for SkyRise, she is dedicated to the development of a quality educational program. Tania is excited about the incredible journey that her and Zac took when starting SkyRise several years ago, and is thrilled to see it grow. Thanks for all the constant support!

Jacob Sewell

SkyTeam Director and Dance Coach

Jacob began performing in Texas at the age of 10 in his first musical, “The Wizard of Oz,” and has been hooked on performing ever since he stepped on stage. Jacob began training in dance at the age of 14 and quickly began performing all over Dallas. He then attended Oklahoma City University and graduated with a Bachelors in Performing Arts. While there, Jacob toured and performed with the American Spirit Dance Company; where he got to perform nationally in Branson and in Pasadena with Kristin Chenoweth during the opening of the Rose Bowl Parade. After graduating Jacob performed on the high seas with Royal Caribbean International.

Robert Herstedt

SkyTeam Director/Technical Staff

Robert Herstedt has lived in Westborough, Massachusetts his whole life and began his theatre career the same time Skyrise opened up in 2010 with their play "Stuart Little."  Robert continued his studies at Plymouth State University with a major in Music Theatre Performance with an emphasis in Directing as well.  While in college, he had the opportunity to direct plays and a cappella groups while also being able to act in diverse musicals and plays.  Robert is excited to be continuing his journey with Skyrise as a member of the Skyrise team!

Keri Robinson

Vocal Coach

Keri has been working as a director, music director, and vocal coach for more than eight years in central Massachusetts, not far from where she grew up and first fell in love with the art of performance. After high school, she moved to Purchase, NY where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Manhattanville College. She believes that musical and theatrical performance provides incredibly impactful experiences for children and young adults. Keri is thrilled to have found such an incredible team to work with at SkyRise. When she isn’t in rehearsal, Keri can be found hanging out with her two sons, who make her world exciting and wonderful!

Kelly Elwood

SkyTeam Director & Vocal Coach

Kelly grew up in Westford, Massachusetts. She started performing at a young age and fell in love with the arts. Kelly earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. Her degree included disciplines in music, theater, dance, business and tourism.  Kelly has always had a love for the arts and found a passion for teaching while she was in high school. Kelly is so excited to be a part of SkyRise Children's Theater. She has seen the joy that theater brings to the lives of children and the growth potential that so many young performers have shown. Zac and Tania have touched many children's lives sharing their passion for music, theater, and dance and Kelly is excited to be a part of the team. 

Kristina Arroyo

Event Director

Kristina is excited to join the Skyrise team with her experience in marketing & business after working for Supercuts for 17 years as a manager & supervisor.  Skyrise will be bringing additional exciting adventures and parties for children to enjoy under Kristina’s direction.  Kristina enjoys spending time with her three children in her spare time. 

Agnes Kovacs McKinney

Vocal Coach

Agnes earned her Music Education degree from the Peabody Institute of  Johns-Hopkins University, MD. She has since worked with children in a variety of musical settings as both a director and voice teacher. She considers it a real privilege to share her knowledge of performing with children. One of Agnes's finest rewards of teaching is when she observes a music student's enlightenment as they discover their voice and true potential. Ms. McKinney brings her experiences from the Baltimore Opera, The Young Victoria Theatre, MD, Busch Gardens, VA,  and the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville TN.When she is not working with children, Agnes serves as a vocalist and keyboardist with the Point and Swing Band and the Worship Band at Immaculate Conception Parish in Nashua NH. Her interests and hobbies include cooking, health and fitness, gardening, travel, as well as spending time with family  and friends.
